As a new Monday approaches, we are back to get you caught up on all the stories that will raise your blood pressure to unhealthy levels long before your first Zoom call of the week.
The past few days have brought two massive updates in the case of Dana Rivers, a trans-identified male responsible for the horrific 2016 slaughter of a family in Oakland, California.
As previously reported by Reduxx, Rivers was convicted of the murder of a lesbian couple and their son in November of 2022. But sentencing was repeatedly delayed as psychological assessments were carried out, and it was questioned whether Rivers would be sent to a psychiatric institution or handed to jail time.
On June 15, a court sentenced Rivers to life in prison without the possibility of parole. But what was initially a cause for celebration quickly turned to upset as just two days later Rivers was moved to a female prison.
While a select few mainstream outlets quietly and vaguely reported on the Rivers updates, Reduxx made sure to bring you the full story, including Rivers’ history as a prominent trans activist who had proudly fought to eliminate single-sex spaces.

The ACLU mourned the execution of a convicted child rapist who murdered a 14-year-old girl and a single mother of two. Duane Owen, who the ACLU referred to using "she/her" pronouns, said he raped women in order to harvest their hormones and souls.

A once-prominent trans activist has been sent to a women's prison to serve a life sentence for the slaughter of a California family. Dana Rivers had been a school teacher but was fired after telling children graphic details about his sexuality.
"I have no clue what my chromosomes are ... I have a fair idea of what my genitals look like." Scottish politician Kirsty Blackman suggested there was no concrete definition of "biological sex" today during a debate on how to define "sex" in the UK's Equality Act 2010.
